We arrived into New Zealand late on Sunday night and drove until midnight to arrive at our bed and breakfast in Papatowai.

It was pretty cold and dreary when we first woke up at six in the morning and we were a little worried that we had travelled all that way for nothing as the swell didn’t look that big but when we came back to check it again at around 10, the waves had started rolling in and the wind had picked up nicely.

We had an awesome session sailing out at Papatowai that day with beautiful smooth waves and good wind for our 5.0s and returned to the beach very happy boys!

The next day we went to Green Island, a renowned local tow surfing spot for a few heavy backside tubes in some extremely shallow water!
